Product Description Interdisciplinary in approach and topical in focus, the sixth edition of The Humanistic Tradition continues to bring to life humankind's creative legacy. With more than 800 illustrations and some 150 literary sources in accessible translations, this widely acclaimed humanities survey takes a global perspective that is at once selective and engaging, and helps students better understand the relationship between world cultures. Awesome Book December 21, 2009 Marsha Vallo (Acoma Pueblo, USA) This book was great. It has plenty of information and the pictures are awesome. If you take a humanities class this is a good resource for your research papers.
Was Excited to Be let down. September 28, 2009 ME (East Coast) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was very disappointed in this book. It was part my fault for not reading into it more. I needed a newer edition. This book is too old for me to use.
The Humanistic Tradition Book 1 February 20, 2009 Connie Isely 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
It took too long getting to me as I needed it for school and when I did receive it, it was no longer needed so I sent it back as refused. I asked for a full refund on this book and as of right now I have not seem any thing yet. I have my doubts if I will see the refund. I strongly suggest checking on how long any of those books will take before ordering as they probably will take a long time and not get to you when they should.
Pretty good February 14, 2009 Amy Lynn Simpson 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The book had a lot more hi-lighting and writing in it than I expected. The packaging was ripped when I got it... silly postal service!
too short.. get the full book May 15, 2007 Deann Redmiles this is a smaller version of a bigger set.. these are nice sort of like excerpts from a larger text.. if you're only studying a small section of history and don't need to ever compare before or after they are ok..but you're better off getting the vol. I or II or both depending on what your needs are. most profs are going to want you to compare and contrast what came before and after ... these books have great pics..but get the larger versions.. as these are a lot of little books, and depending on your class you may need to carry 6 little books with you instead of 1 text..
