5 out of 5 stars Barron's SAT subject test math level 2   June 12, 2010
C. Oney (Renton, WA, US)
I think the sample tests in this book are challenging enough compared with other SAT math books. The review for each subject is sufficient. I especially like the last part that teaches you how to use the graphing calculator. It is short and sweet unlike the actual manual.

3 out of 5 stars Okay book for reviewing, but practice tests are brutal   May 22, 2010
Joshua Pend (Arcadia, CA USA)
The chapters teaching you how to use your graphing calculator and how to approach each problem are good, but the practice tests are extremely hard and unlike the real SAT II. I got around 650 on the practice tests, and when I took the real one, I got 800. So I wouldn't trust the practice tests at the end.

5 out of 5 stars Good news! Answer sheet has A-E, all 5 bubbles available   May 1, 2010
An ophthalmologist (Los Angeles, CA)
Just bought the book today, 5/1/10. Good news! The editors finally noticed. The answer sheet has A-E, all 5 bubbles available. My daugher has not started the book, nor taken the test yet, so I cannot comment on it's content yet.

4 out of 5 stars Good review topics for SAT math IIc   April 28, 2010
tingliucs (Burke, VA)
If you want to refresh your memory of Algebra II and Pre-calculus before taking the real SAT math IIc test, please read the review chapters in this book.

Despite some errors and inaccurate practice tests, this book can help you achieve 800 in a real SAT math IIc test.

2 out of 5 stars Not at all like the real test.   January 3, 2010
Ling Li
I purchased this book a month before I took my SAT II to help me brush up on some Algebra II topics I had forgotten. The explanations for the algebra II topics I needed the most help on were short and confusing, with not enough examples given. The practice tests included were unhelpful and inaccurate, and focused on the hardest topics that are rarely covered on the actual SAT II. I am a very good math student and the practice tests projected me for a high 600 score. I ended up getting a full 800 on the test, with no thanks to this book. I read and reread the sections I needed help on, trying to understand what it was talking about. Completely frustrated, I ended up going to my math teacher at school for help. What you can use this book for is to get an idea of what topics you are unfamiliar with, but don't expect it to actually help you understand them.
